The target of Roofs That Shield Akkar was to rehabilitate 300 residential units across Akkar and the North in the year 2020. Due to the extremely vulnerable situation in this area and thanks to the targeted funding by international donors, Nusaned was able to overachieve its target and rehabilitate 450 units, including 150 units that were further adapted for people with special needs. This is in line with Nusaned’s mission to empower marginalized Lebanese communities to live sustainably.
