The livelihood and social stability program at Nusaned is responsible for addressing the economic and social challenges faced by vulnerable communities. While we strive, through our livelihood sector, to empower individuals by promoting economic opportunities and supporting the development of skills and resources necessary to improve their well-being, our social stability sector strives to build resilience and reduce conflicts within these communities by nurturing a safe and healthy environment. Through reinforcing economic stability, Nusaned aims at reducing social tensions while conversely providing platforms to foster social stability and help drive economic growth.

We aim to design and build innovative community spaces and incorporate sustainable building technologies and circular economy principles. Our efforts are dedicated to fostering economic opportunities and promoting social cohesion across the eight Lebanese governorates. Together, we aim to empower communities and create a resilient and thriving Lebanon.

Our Livelihoods and Social Stability program focuses on supporting individuals and communities in need, in an unbiased manner. Through extensive research and assessment and in collaboration with different stakeholders including beneficiaries, we identify priority areas and target vulnerable households based on specific criteria. Households prioritized are:
Our approach to fostering Livelihoods and Social Stability within communities is comprehensive. Our strategy encompasses close collaboration with both local and international NGOs, as well as key community stakeholders, including research centers, academic institutes, and governing bodies. Together, we engage in a value-based needs assessment process, working collaboratively to identify target individuals and families. This inclusive approach extends to homeowners, ensuring their active involvement in decision-making and program design. Through these collective efforts, we aim to raise awareness about the pivotal role that Livelihoods and Social Stability play in enhancing the well-being and sustainability of individuals and the broader community.
We believe in a circular economy that benefits local businesses, mostly MSMEs, creates jobs, and builds stable communities. We focus on efficiency and durability, which supports a strong economy and sustainable living, and we build local skills for lasting prosperity. We also help households prevent waste and use circular practices, making life better for everyone in the community.
We invest in rehabilitating or creating new shared indoor and outdoor community spaces, especially those related to youth, children, and older people such as playgrounds, and multi-purpose spaces to support training, workshops, and various community events.
